Emmy Hise is a Senior Consultant in the Consulting and Analytics division for STR. She has over 11 years of experience in the lodging sector, including performance optimization analysis for a management company and hospitality business development experience. Ms. Hise spent the first few years of her career working in operations. From there, she transitioned to a business development role for nearly 5 years. She worked on the disposition side for CBRE Hotels and then transitioned to the acquisition and management contract side for Two Roads Hospitality. During this time, she focused on numerous analytic lodging and real estate projects including market studies, due diligence, single asset and portfolio transactions, valuations, underwriting, and amenity and facility offerings analysis. Her most recent position, prior to joining STR, was Director of Performance Optimization for Two Roads Hospitality, a leading operator of independent hotels with more than 85 properties in eight countries. In this role, she acted as an in-house consultant that utilized internal and external data to provide analysis that facilitated decisions impacting performance.

Amanda W. Hite, STR’s president since 2011, oversees the company’s business activities and overall direction.

Under Hite’s leadership, STR has experienced substantial growth in its global presence, client base, data coverage and revenue. Her time with the company has also resulted in several significant milestones, including the 2016 unification of STR’s global brands, and the implementation of a number of key industry deliverables. Additionally, Hite led STR through the company’s acquisition by CoStar Group (NASDAQ: CSGP) in late 2019.

Hite’s accomplishments have been recognized with inclusion in “30 Influential Women in Hospitality” and “40 Under 40 Emerging Leaders” lists.

Hite is a member of the Board of Directors of the American Hotel & Lodging Association, the U.S. Travel Association, the Executive Council of Women in Lodging, and the Board of Directors of Forward Sumner Economic Partnership. She also serves as a member of the Travel and Tourism Advisory Council for the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta and on the Industry Advisory Board of the Hotel and Restaurant Management Program at Auburn University.

In a career that spans over 30 years, Raul has held top management positions for Interstate Hotels, Lane Hotels and the Continental companies and is one of the few hospitality industry executives that understands both the lifestyle and branded hotels segments. Raul is currently CEO of Virgin Hotels which launched in 2011 and is responsible for the company’s overall expansion globally. Virgin Hotels is an extension of Virgin Group and is owned by Richard Branson. Scheduled openings over the next 14 months include New York, Las Vegas, New Orleans and Edinburgh and Miami breaking ground in 2021. There will be more domestic and international announcements coming in late 2020. In between 1996 and 2010, Raul was President and Partner at Tecton Hospitality which owned and operated a diverse portfolio of 35 branded hotels and boutique hotels. Tecton Hospitality was a “Preferred Hotel Management Company” by most of the major legacy brands. In 2002 he launched Desires Hotels, one of the first management companies focused on the growing lifestyle hotel segment. Desires Hotels had 20 award winning modern boutique hotels located in urban and resort locations domestically and internationally. She has over 30 years’ experience in the hospitality industry, specializing in strategy creation and execution, as well as developing team members on the key components of Revenue Management processes and fundamentals. In 2012, the Concord Revenue Management Team won Revenue Management Team of the year both regionally and for the America’s for the Marriott brand. She was previously the Vice President of Sales & Marketing based in Crestline's Virginia Beach office where she oversaw the sales efforts for Crestline's portfolio of managed hotels. In this role he was responsible for the leadership of an integrated Distribution and Revenue Management Strategy team including Global Revenue Management operations, as well as third party Internet, global distribution systems and distribution strategy for IHG’s brands.  He and his team also negotiated industry leading distribution deals all over the world.

In addition to IHG, he has worked with Bristol Hotels & Resorts and MeriStar Hotels & Resorts. He also has extensive experience in sales, guest services, hotel operations and e-commerce.

Mr. Rubinacci holds bachelor degrees in business administration, majoring in both marketing and hospitality administration at Florida State University. He has served on the boards of HEDNA, Worldres, HSMAI, Open Travel, Roomkey, and the Dedman School of Hospitality.

Pete Sams joined Davidson Hotels & Resorts in December 2019 and as Chief Operating Officer, he is responsible for driving operational excellence and profitability for the company's core portfolio of more than 50 hotels and resorts across the U.S. Functional oversight includes human resources, sales, revenue management, integrated marketing, transitions and operations strategy across all branded assets, Pivot Hotels & Resorts and Davidson Restaurant Group verticals. A hospitality industry veteran with nearly 30 years of experience, Pete most recently served as executive vice president of full-service operations for Interstate Hotels & Resorts. During his tenure, he was responsible for the company's overall operational strategy, forging strong owner relations and driving superior hotel performance for a portfolio of more than 100 hotels, resorts and conference centers throughout North America. Prior to joining Interstate, Pete served as a regional vice president at White Lodging, managing a portfolio of full-service hotels under Hyatt Hotels, Le Méridien, Marriott and Renaissance. Additionally, he oversaw the opening of several new construction properties and was the project lead in the development of an internal labor leadership tool and process. Pete began his hospitality career with Omni Hotels, which spanned 20 productive and decorated years, serving multiple stints as an impactful general manager, including running the iconic Omni Shoreham in Washington, D.C. Pete's industry leadership includes participation on the Marriott Rooms Advisory Board, the Renaissance Advisory Board, and a member of the Hyatt Full Service Franchise COO Roundtable. He proudly served his country as a member of the US Army and is a graduate of Texas A&M University Corpus Christi, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Finance.

President & CEO, Nashville Convention & Visitors Corp

Butch Spyridon has served as the head of the Nashville Convention & Visitors Corp (NCVC) since 1991. Under his leadership, the NCVC has led the strategic development of Nashville’s hospitality industry, and Music City has evolved into a global, year-round destination, generating over $7 billion in visitor spending.

During Butch’s tenure, the NCVC has been involved with development initiatives that include the Tennessee Titans, Bridgestone Arena, Music City July 4th, New Year’s Eve in Nashville, the Music City Center, Music City Walk of Fame, and the city’s branding initiative. He also led efforts to bring British Airways’ nonstop flight to London in 2018 and he led the successful recruitment and execution of the 2019 NFL Draft, which became the most successful Draft in NFL history and the largest public event in Nashville in terms of attendance, visitor spending and TV viewership around the world.

In addition, the NCVC has produced two award-winning documentary films, including Silver Lion Awards at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity. Combined with the NCVC ongoing sales and marketing initiatives, Nashville hotel demand has grown faster than any other top 30 US city since 2013 and was named a top destination in the world by multiple publications for seven consecutive years.

Spyridon serves on the Executive Committee of the U.S. Travel Association and as Chair-Elect of Destinations International.

Raised in Pascagoula, Mississippi, Spyridon graduated from Vanderbilt University. He is a graduate of the Institute of Comparative Political and Economic Systems at Georgetown University. He and his wife, Sunny, have four children and five grandchildren.
