Veronica Andrews, Director, Digital Data Solutions for STR, provides analytical and end-user perspectives in the development of new STR data products. She is also responsible for designing and delivering product training to meet internal and external customer needs. Veronica has over 20 years of revenue management experience in the hospitality industry. Prior to joining STR, Veronica’s experience included property and above property leadership in both major brand and independent environments, and across a wide breadth of property types and locations. Veronica serves on the HSMAI Revenue Management Advisory Board, is a Certified Revenue Management Executive (CRME), and an active member of the AH&LA Food and Beverage Committee.
Mr. Bowers has over 25 years of global lodging industry experience. He has a broad background which includes strategic marketing, industry analysis and product management. Prior to joining STR, he was Director of Competitive & Industry Analysis for Holiday Inn Worldwide.
Sloan Dean joined Remington January 1, 2018 as COO, and was promoted to CEO & President on January 1, 2020. Remington manages 87 hotels in 27 states with annual revenues over $1B. Prior to leading Remington, Sloan was with Ashford Inc. for the 5 years prior as SVP of Revenue Optimization & Underwriting and oversaw Ashford’s asset management team. Prior to Ashford, Sloan held Senior Vice President of Revenue & Market Strategy, Vice President of Sales & Marketing, Vice President of Business Development & Acquisitions, and Analyst positions with Interstate Hotels, Alliance Hospitality, Noble Investment Group, IHG, and Oliver Wyman. Sloan holds a B.S. in Industrial & Systems Engineering and a Certificate in Finance from Georgia Tech. He is currently a member of AH&LA Board of Directors, ASFONA Board of Directors, Expedia Owner Advisory Board, Hilton Distribution Owner Advisory Council, and Young President’s Organization (YPO).
Amanda W. Hite, STR’s president since 2011, oversees the company’s business activities and overall direction.
Under Hite’s leadership, STR has experienced substantial growth in its global presence, client base, data coverage and revenue. Her time with the company has also resulted in several significant milestones, including the 2016 unification of STR’s global brands, and the implementation of a number of key industry deliverables. Additionally, Hite led STR through the company’s acquisition by CoStar Group (NASDAQ: CSGP) in late 2019.
Hite’s accomplishments have been recognized with inclusion in “30 Influential Women in Hospitality” and “40 Under 40 Emerging Leaders” lists.
Hite is a member of the Board of Directors of the American Hotel & Lodging Association, the U.S. Travel Association, the Executive Council of Women in Lodging, and the Board of Directors of Forward Sumner Economic Partnership. She also serves as a member of the Travel and Tourism Advisory Council for the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta and on the Industry Advisory Board of the Hotel and Restaurant Management Program at Auburn University.
Prior to joining STR in 2006, Hite was the Director of Research for the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce. She is a graduate of Birmingham-Southern College with a B.S. in Business Administration. She resides in Hendersonville, TN, with her husband and two children.
Alison Hoyt is Senior Director of Consulting and Analytics for STR (STR, Inc.). Alison leads a consulting team focused on providing custom data solutions to clients using STR’s extensive database. Projects range from comp set selection and optimization to customized data-infused dashboards in Excel or Tableau software. Alison assists with new subscription-based report and product development. She is a frequent speaker at industry conferences and meetings. Alison earned her bachelor’s degree from Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration.
Chris Manley received his master’s degree in professional accounting and bachelor's degree from the University of Texas in Austin. Chris grew up in Denver, Colorado.

Stephanie heads special projects and various content initiatives at Hotel News Now, including HNN’s Independent Insights newsletter. She boasts nearly a decade’s worth of experience in hotel trade journalism, most recently serving as Editor-in-Chief at Hotel Management magazine before joining HNN in January 2015. She is a graduate of Wittenberg University and holds a master’s degree in journalism from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University.
Vail Ross is Senior Vice President of Global Business Development & Marketing for STR. Vail Ross is responsible for the overall coordination, functional management and leadership of the business development and marketing strategies for STR. Along with hotel specific sales and marketing, Vail’s efforts are directed towards expanding relationships with third party vendors by promoting new products and services. She is often featured as a guest speaker at international, national, regional and state conferences. Vail currently is the chair for the AH&LA Women In Lodging (WIL) Council and the chair for the HSMAI Foundation board of directors.
Andrew is a seasoned hospitality veteran with over 25 years of experience and considered by many in the industry as one of the foremost revenue management and global distribution experts anywhere. He serves currently as EVP & Chief Commercial Officer for Omni Hotels & Resorts responsible for Marketing, Sales, Loyalty, Revenue Management, Digital Marketing, eCommerce, Distribution and Channel Strategy.
He was previously the Senior Vice President of Distribution & Global Revenue Management for InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG). In this role he was responsible for the leadership of an integrated Distribution and Revenue Management Strategy team including Global Revenue Management operations, as well as third party Internet, global distribution systems and distribution strategy for IHG’s brands. He and his team also negotiated industry leading distribution deals all over the world.
In addition to IHG, he has worked with Bristol Hotels & Resorts and MeriStar Hotels & Resorts. He also has extensive experience in sales, guest services, hotel operations and e-commerce.
Mr. Rubinacci holds bachelor degrees in business administration, majoring in both marketing and hospitality administration at Florida State University. He has served on the boards of HEDNA, Worldres, HSMAI, Open Travel, Roomkey, and the Dedman School of Hospitality.
Butch Spyridon has served as the head of the Nashville Convention & Visitors Corp (NCVC) since 1991. Under his leadership, the NCVC has led the strategic development of Nashville’s hospitality industry, and Music City has evolved into a global, year-round destination, generating over $7 billion in visitor spending.
During Butch’s tenure, the NCVC has been involved with development initiatives that include the Tennessee Titans, Bridgestone Arena, Music City July 4th, New Year’s Eve in Nashville, the Music City Center, Music City Walk of Fame, and the city’s branding initiative. He also led efforts to bring British Airways’ nonstop flight to London in 2018 and he led the successful recruitment and execution of the 2019 NFL Draft, which became the most successful Draft in NFL history and the largest public event in Nashville in terms of attendance, visitor spending and TV viewership around the world.
In addition, the NCVC has produced two award-winning documentary films, including Silver Lion Awards at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity. Combined with the NCVC ongoing sales and marketing initiatives, Nashville hotel demand has grown faster than any other top 30 US city since 2013 and was named a top destination in the world by multiple publications for seven consecutive years.
Spyridon serves on the Executive Committee of the U.S. Travel Association and as Chair-Elect of Destinations International.
Raised in Pascagoula, Mississippi, Spyridon graduated from Vanderbilt University. He is a graduate of the Institute of Comparative Political and Economic Systems at Georgetown University. He and his wife, Sunny, have four children and five grandchildren.
Carter oversees STR's Consulting & Analytics practice, which is tasked with using the company's deep repository of hotel-performance data to answer the most complex of client questions. The Consulting & Analytics group also oversees STR's Custom Forecast product, the HOST/P&L program, comp set selection and optimization, and the Bandwidth, RPM, and Pulse Reports. Carter has over three decades of experience in the hospitality industry and has extensive public-speaking experience, lecturing frequently at major conferences and company events.
Nicole leads global revenue management and sales analytics for Rosewood Hotel Group & their family of brands, based out of Los Angeles California. Nicole’s expertise lies in the revenue strategies of luxury and lifestyle genres for hotel, gaming, and food and beverage brands. She is currently the Co-chair of HSMAI’s revenue management advisory board and has been named a Corporate Revenue Management Professional by HSMAI and identified as a Rising Star under 40 by Hotels Magazine.
Nicole holds credentials from the University of Southern California & Northern Arizona University; which span Data Science & Analytics, Hospitality Administration and Adult Learning Theory. A self-proclaimed data enthusiast, she also considers herself to be food and fashion obsessed.
