Attending Like a Pro: Get the most out of HDC 2018

Each year we have a fantastic mix of veteran Hotel Data Conference attendees and eager first-timers. Regardless of your attendee status, we’ve put together some pointers to help make this year the best one yet:

Plan out your days

Look through our complete conference agenda and plan which sessions you want to attend each day. With some sessions going on simultaneously or overlapping, you’ll want to make the most of your time.

Download the app

The HDC app is a must have when attending our conference. Access conference updates, send questions to panelists, view the complete schedule and more. If you’re viewing this on your mobile device, you can download here. You should have also received an email with instructions on how to access.

Connect through the app

Connect with friends to make dinner plans and set up business appointments with other attendees by using the in-App messaging function!

Join the conversation

Don’t forget to follow Hotel Data Conference on social media and tag us in conference posts and pictures. Be sure to use #hoteldataconf and #10YearsOfHDC! You can also go straight to our social media accounts from the HDC App.

Meet with an STR rep

Set up a meeting with your STR account rep to review your reports. We will be readily available and looking forward to meeting with clients throughout the conference!

Sign up for Hotel News Now Daily Update

We will have Hotel News Now reporters in almost every session at HDC. Sign up for the complimentary Daily Update to hear what was covered in the sessions you were unable to attend. They will also be doing daily recaps and a “conference rewind” newsletter.

Conference attire

Business casual is the norm at HDC and jeans are welcome. We recommend bringing a sweater or jacket. Although the temperatures outside are blazing in Nashville in August, the rooms for the conference can fluctuate. It’s best to dress in layers for optimal comfort during HDC!

Come prepared

Here are just a few items you’ll want to include in your bag:

  • Business materials: There are many networking opportunities available at Hotel Data Conference and you’ll want to be prepared. Make sure to have business cards, brochures, white papers, etc. in case you meet someone you want to share more about your business with.
  • Chargers: We suggest keeping chargers or batteries for your laptop, tablet, and phone on you at all times at HDC. You’ll be on your devices a lot and you won’t want to miss an opportunity to interact using the HDC app or social media! Charging stations will also be available, which are sponsored by Travel Tripper.

Make the most of Music City
